Banned Books and Censorship

Information on events for Banned Books Week and resources on challenged and banned books in the U.S.

Instructions and Clue #1

  • You can find the first clue at the library desk, on the Banned Books Week 2023 LibGuide, or on the Scavenger Hunt form.
  • Use the clues to determine the title of the book, then search the book in the library’s catalog to find the book’s call number.
  • Use the call number to find the corresponding “book” on the shelves in the library. Each “book” will have the next clue on the back.
  • Take a photo of each “book” as you work your way through the clues. Please remember to leave the “book” on the shelf for the next scavenger hunter.
  • Once you have found all of them, submit these photos via the Scavenger Hunt form to claim your prize!
  • The deadline to submit is Saturday, October 7th at 5pm. Winners will be announced next week.
