Generative Artificial Intelligence (Beginner)

Welcome to Generative AI

Generative artificial intelligence (GAI) is a type of artificial intelligence that learns from and imitates existing data to create text, images, audio, video, and more based on prompts (or inputs) from GAI users. GAI has quickly become a part of everyday life. It has even began to carve out a place in academic institutions as a method for learning assistance and assignment enhancement.

This guide is designed to help students, faculty, and staff at Mississippi University for Women in promoting the ethical usage of GAI. It offers an overview of popular AI research tools, provides guidance on creating prompts, and supplies key library databases and e-books on GAI. It also contains resources related to core AI ethical issues while laying out basic citation rules.
