Circulation Services

The W's Library is open to the campus community and the public. 

Current MUW students, faculty, and staff have borrowing, interlibrary loan, and database access privileges.

For off-campus access to the library's databases, users will be prompted to log in with their MUW ID number as the username and the last four digits of the MUW ID as the password.

W Students, Faculty, and Staff

  • Your MUW ID Card is your library card and must be presented to check out physical library materials.
  • MUW ID Cards are made at the MUW Campus Police Department, during regular business hours.
  • Acceptance of an MUW ID Card signifies agreement to follow The W's policies, including The W's Library policies.
  • The individual to whom the card is issued is responsible for any use made of the card.

Community Users

The W's Library is part of the Mississippi Library Partnership, a consortium of libraries that share resources

  • Community Users may check out materials from partner libraries.
  • Interlibrary Loan privileges are not available to community users.
  • The individual to whom the card is issued is responsible for any use made of the card.

Loan Periods

  • Undergraduates - 28 days
  • Graduate Students - 56 days
  • Faculty - 120 days
  • Downloadable eContent - varies

Renewals

You may renew materials you have checked out through the Fant Memorial Library twice online before you have to return them to the library. To renew materials online, please go to Classic Catalog, select "My Account", "Renew My Materials," then login with your MUW ID.  

Renewals may also be requested in person or by phone.

Fines & Fees

There is a one-month grace period for fines after the due date, then for Undergraduate and Graduate students, a charge of $10.00 for each overdue item will be charged to Banner.

Lost or Stolen Cards

If your MUW ID Card is lost or stolen, report it to the MUW Campus Police Department immediately.
