Drag a PDF file into the Zotero middle column. You can have Zotero try to retrieve citation data for the item by right-clicking on the PDF file and choosing Retrieve Metadata for PDF. To automatically rename the PDF, click Rename File from Parent Metadata.
If you have an EndNote, RefWorks, or other citation manager account, and wish to add those reference into Zotero, click Import from the File menu.
