Printing Services

Description of library printing services, costs, and more

Regular Printing

All students receive a $5.00 quota at the beginning of the semester that can be used at any location. When that quota is used up, the student will be charged for each subsequent print job.This fee is charged to student's account.


  • Black & White: $0.10 per page
  • Color: $0.25 per page
  • Printing on both sides of the page counts as 2 pages.


  • Fant Library Digital Classroom ("24/7 room")
  • Information Desk
  • Coin-operated copiers above coffee shop
  • Coin-operated copiers near 1st floor elevator

Name of Printer: Library Color Printer (for color and b/w)

Printing Account: 

  • Use your banner Log-in credentials to print
  • You can check the status of prints, see your print history, and request refunds by logging into the Papercut account in from the computer in the Digital Classroom.

Note: Public users or MSMS users will pay with cash or check for their printout at the Information Desk.

The W's Fant Library offers free faxing (up to 10 pages) for current MUW and MSMS Faculty, Staff, and students.

After 10 pages, the fee is $1.00 per page. 

For those who are not MUW or MSMS Faculty, Staff, or students, there is a fee of $1.00 per page. 

This fee applies to both sending and receiving a fax. 

Copying costs the same amount as printing, and can be done at either coin-operated copier (one is located above the coffee shop, and one is located near the 1st floor elevator). Alternatively, documents can be scanned and emailed for free, or printed as usual at either library printer.

Poster Printing

Check out the Research Poster Guide for more information and tutorials on creating and designing a poster.

The library offers large format printing of academic research posters for MUW faculty, staff, and students.

Prices: $5/linear foot.

             Students: Your charges will go through PaperCut to your Banner account.

               Faculty/Staff: You may charge the amount to your department account.

Sizing:  The width of the printer is 36". We can print up to any amount high x 36" wide. For custom sizes under 36" wide, please let us know in advance.

Follow these guidelines to have a poster printed:

  • You may bring a PDF of your poster on a flash drive or upload it from your myapps/Cloud service account on our computer at the checkout/return desk. Sign in to Papercut using your portal ID and password.
  • Please allow enough time for the poster to print, especially if several posters have been submitted at once. We'll email you when it's ready to be picked up at the checkout/return desk.
  • Make sure your file is of adequate resolution and size to make a quality print (printing size must be set before you start your design!).
  • Payment is due upon submission. Faculty and staff can charge to their department or grant account.

Location: Fant Library Tech Lab (Open by request)

  • .stl
  • .obj
  • .thing
  • .zip. (If your project requires more than one file please zip them together and attach the .zip file.)

Get 3D Printing files:

Search Thingverse for open access 3D print files, or use TinkerCad or Sketchup allow you to create your own 3D printable files.
